News You Can Use

Welcome to the 2010-2011 school year.  On Friday, August 20, 2010, we will host a meet your teacher on the Elementary campus from 2:00 - 3:00.  This will give parents and students the opportunity to meet their teacher and bring their school supplies on that day.  

The first day of school is on Monday, August 23, 2010.  Students may be dropped off at the front of the school no earlier than 7:30.  The first bell will ring at 8:00 to begin our school day and students that arrive after 8:15 will be counted tardy. 

We will begin loading car riders at 3:00, which is a little early, but for the first week of school we need the extra time because so many students will be car riders.  Once we have our routine together, car riders will begin loading at 3:10.  Please place a sheet of paper on your front window with your child's name written very large on it.  It really helps if these names are taped to the window or visor not laying on the dashboard.  


REMINDERS:  
    We have a No Walk-Up Policy at the end of the school day so please be patient the first couple of weeks in the car rider line and expect a long wait.  It will get better each day and once all the kinks are worked out it usually takes about 20 minutes to load all of the students.  

    Please label students' lunch kits, backpacks, and jackets with their name. 



Dana Burke is our Campus Teacher of the Year.  Dana was also named District Teacher of the Year, which is quite an honor.  Mrs. Burke is a 5th grade Language Arts teacher.  If you see her, please congratulate her.  She does an outstanding job.


If you have a child entering school this year you can register them in the Elementary Office during school hours 7:30 - 3:30.  Please bring the following information when you register:  Official Birth Certificate, current Immunization Record, Social Security card, copy of Parent's Driver License.  For more information please call 994-4840.
